Amos Palfreyman is passionate about food sustainability. He is the Programme Manager at FoodHQ leading projects that connect food ideas to science. This role covers the following four broad areas: strategic relationship management across a wide spectrum of stakeholders; communications and PR around trade and economic affairs; project coordination and event management, market research and business development. In these areas he aims to make sure strategies and tactics are driven by business objectives.
Amos has previously worked in economic development, international relations and in consumer food science for a FMCG company. Prior to completing a business and politics degree at Massey University, he was an engineer in the army and worked for Fonterra in New Zealand and the United States.
He is interested in sustainable business models, future food systems and applied science to reduce food waste. He is passionate in seeing New Zealand entrepreneurs successfully take their sustainable business ideas and innovations to the global market.
